Virtual World Rescue
Describe what you see, crack the locks and bring the gamer home.

About
In Virtual World Rescue, teams of ethical hackers are called to a secret mission. The night before, a young man testing a new virtual reality headset from a suspicious company was physically pulled into the game’s virtual world.
The mission is to move between the virtual and real worlds, finding clues that will help rescue him and bring him back.
One team member at a time wears the VR headset and describes the rooms and locks they can see, while teammates in the real world hold the solutions: a set of lock modules and a guidebook that opens the doors to each room.
Just when teams think they have finished, they are pushed to a second level with the same rooms and more complicated locks. A main screen shows every team’s progress, keeping the competition lively across the room.
Learning outcomes
Virtual World Rescue is a powerful lean management business game built on real-time collaboration and communication.
The more precisely the player in the headset describes the problem, the faster teammates in the real world can find the answer. Teams quickly see the cost of vague instructions, and learn to ask sharper questions and confirm what they have heard before acting.
The game has a strong learning curve. Through iteration, feedback and improvement, teams solve the second level far more efficiently than the first, a clear demonstration of continuous improvement in action.
It is an ideal starting point for conversations about the challenges of modern business, especially for organisations with remote teams across several countries, where clear communication over distance is everything. Many teams leave with a simple, shared language for giving and checking instructions that they carry back to work.
