Colonial Compass Quest
A walking trail of clues through Yangon's colonial heart and hidden stories.

About
Step into the heart of Yangon’s historic downtown for an immersive journey through colonial-era architecture, civic landmarks and bustling market streets. Teams begin near the iconic Sule Pagoda or another agreed meeting point, following a trail of clues through heritage facades and accessible public spaces toward a shared finish line.
Along the way, groups tackle a series of engaging missions: spotting architectural details, decoding a local-history sequence, completing a visual observation challenge, and crafting a creative team response to a resilience-themed prompt. Walking forms the core of the experience, with short transfers used where appropriate to keep the pace comfortable and inclusive.
Designed to flex for groups of any size, the program uses staggered wave departures and alternative clue routes to keep every team engaged from briefing to final reveal. Routes and timing are planned with careful attention to local conditions and access requirements, ensuring a smooth, responsible and memorable experience for everyone involved.
Learning outcomes
This experience is built to strengthen team connection through communication, planning and collaborative interpretation. As participants move between checkpoints, they share observations, test assumptions and coordinate decisions together, building trust and alignment along the way.
The variety of missions creates space for different strengths to shine, from navigation and analysis to creative thinking and group organisation. Facilitators can tailor the mission themes to reflect priorities such as resilience, leadership, service or adaptability, making the experience relevant to real workplace dynamics.
Because the format scales smoothly for both small and very large groups, small teams, staggered starts and dedicated facilitator support keep the experience consistent regardless of numbers. Route and timing decisions are made with careful attention to local access and conditions, keeping the day both practical and responsible.
A closing group discussion invites teams to reflect on how they communicated, adapted to new information and supported one another throughout the challenge. These insights translate naturally into everyday collaboration and project work, giving every participant a shared experience and a practical takeaway for the workplace.
